The MIC 4th Exco

Its been a year.

What a year it has been. I used to be just another girl, spending all my time in school either studying or having lessons. Sometimes I'll go out with friends, but that's that. Add the fact that my circle of friends was not that wide initially, you get a person with not much of a life outside school (which means just studying).

Not a lot was accomplished my first year, I must say.

Then came the end of first year. Had been regularly joining MIC activities like this.

Did not get a position in the exco initially, since me and jer both wanted the HR director post. But we went for the chalet during the hols, and that completely changed. The 4th exco of MIC was born, and I became the secretary of the club.

Thus started my life as part of the exco, and my friendship with a bunch of wonderful people.

With them, I experienced so much more. I was given the task of organising the first freshie outing at Sentosa, and I am really happy with the results. I had never imagined myself with the capability to take charge of an entire event, and to be involved from start to finish. It may have been the smallest of events, but it was my baby.

I got to do so many different things during my tenure, despite being the secretary, whose job scope is so admin in nature. I have never been restricted to that area only, cos I'll die of boredom if I did. I had my finger in every pie, from organizing outings, to being so involved in Virtuoso, to gaining experience in performing. So many things, so many memories.

Let's not make this the end of our journey. It may be the end of our term in office, but I hope we will still take time out to meet.

I'm honoured, I really am, to have been part of this group of people, striving to push the club to greater heights. I'm grateful, to have this chance to step out of my comfort zone and try so many new things. Lastly, I'm thankful, to have found such great friends in all of you.
